Our mission has always been simple; to help customers keep and save their old houses. The history goes to year of 1995 when we started restoration of our old family manor area with almost 30 old buildings. We soon realized how difficult it was to find parts for old buildings. After nine years of almost full time renovation and searching of building parts all around Finland we established our first company in 2004, Metsänkylän Navetta (www.navetta.net). The company started collecting and selling old building parts. We also collected and shared contact information of professionals among this field. Our old cow house with over 2500 m2 of storing space has now thousands of old windows and doors, used bricks, door handles…. After its five years of history now it has become quite well known and is the biggest in its field of business in Finland. Among this we also have become a popular channel for selling, buying and moving old log houses. We have been happy to find some 90 houses a new life very often with a new owner and in a new location.

As Metsänkylän Navetta is focusing on old and used products Domus Classica was established to focus on the same mission but among new products. The new company is constantly and actively searching for building parts, tools and materials with high quality standards suitable for classic houses and interiors. Our customers are mostly private. Our very important issue is to help them keep the restoration projects in budget. This is why we chose selling thru web. It has the best opportunity to give the shortest and cheapest way for the product to travel from manufacturer to its end customer. And not to mention the fantastic thing to be open 24/7 hours and world wide.
